JPs Pass ARP Funding, Library Raises & Holiday Bonuses
November’s Quorum Court repeated the Budget Committee’s unanimous passage of all nine Ordinances on the November agendas. JPs also revisited their improper passage of Ordinance 22-43 last month, correcting that action to pass that ARP funding Ordinance as well.
JP Rose Roland advocated for an agenda change, which passed although JPs Jerry Boyer (R, Dist. 12) and John Pickett (D, Dist. 11) voted “no.”
JPs then unanimously approved Ordinance 22-57, ARP Funds: United Way, which she sponsored. That Ordinance was rejected by the Budget Committee at its meeting last week when only one Committee member, JP Tyler Pearson (D, Dist. 7), voted to add it to the agenda.
JPs unanimously passed:
Ordinance 22-43, ARP Funds: Stop DV
Ordinance 22-47, ARP Funds: Guy Water Service *
Ordinance 22-41, Library Raises
Ordinance 22-49, Monthly Appropriations
Ordinance 22-51, Holiday Bonus Pay
Ordinance 22-52, Sheriff’s Dept. Bonus
Ordinance 22-53, Sheriff’s Dept. Body Cameras
Ordinance 22-50, ARP Funds: Childrens Advocacy Alliance
Ordinance 22-55, ARP Funds: Toad Suck Homeless Coalition
Ordinance 22-56, APR Funds: United Way
* NOTE: JPs rejected Ordinance 22-47 at the October Quorum Court meeting.
