Mayflower Schools & City Council Updates

Mayflower City Council has sworn in a new member to fill a vacancy created when Alderman Brian Williams resigned in May. Mayor Danny Hester appointed firefighter Zack Warren to the seat; Warren was sworn in at the June 27 Mayflower City Council meeting.

And, Mayflower Schools has renewed their Superintendent’s contract through the 2025-2026 school year. Before 2021 when he was hired at Mayflower, Andy Chisum had worked as a superintendent, and assistant and lead principal at Greers Ferry, Danville and Western Yell County School Districts.
